How to Spread Some Cheer(s) in Challenging Times

Nasty Women, we have a challenge for you!

These days are challenging. We are all experiencing this crisis in uniquely different ways. Some of you are essential workers who face daily risk and exposure. Some of you are battling the virus or directly connected to someone who is. Some of you are isolating solo and battling loneliness and depression. Some of you are homeschooling your kids while working from home, hanging on to your sanity by a thread. Some of you are suddenly unemployed. 

All of us are facing uncertainty. All of us need some cheer.

Our challenge to you is to find one moment this week to spread some cheer(s) to someone who needs it. 

How can you spread some cheers?

1. Do a favor for a neighbor. You don't have to have contact to help someone in your community out. Pick up groceries, share what you have, or find out who needs help. Use apps like NextDoor or community Facebook groups to find out what people need. 

2. Do something kind for your partner or housemates. Even if you want to kick them in teeth for leaving dishes in the sink, find a way to do something thoughtful to brighten their day. Side effects include feeling less stabby. 

3. Send food (or wine) to your local first responders. Show the people who are on the front lines of this war how much you appreciate them with a gift of food or drink. 

4. Do shout outs on social media. Spotlight someone each day on your social media that deserves a shout out during this time. It could be your local grocery store staff, your parents for staying the eff home, or your kid's teacher for trying to figure out how to teach during a pandemic.

5. Send wine and spread some cheers! Say thank you to the people you appreciate or who need a pick-me-up.
